Chris Marshall, 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Forward Area Refueling Point NCO in charge, gathers components to build fuel hoses during a routine maintenance day, Aug. 16, 2019, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. A high operations tempo requires Marshall and his FARP team to regularly decommission, build and test fuel hoses to ensure 100% compliance with safety and technical specifications. The FARP team conducts covert nighttime refueling operations in deployed locations where fueling points are not accessible or when air-to-air refueling is not possible.
