Kadena hosts annual Shogun Spark Tank competition
From left to right, U.S. Air Force Capt. Andrew Armor, 18th Wing innovations director, and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Pamela Martinez, 18th Wing innovations support NCO in charge, present the fan favorite award to Mario Damian, 18th Civil Engineer Squadron high voltage electrician supervisor, and U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Chaz Lineberger, 18th CES electrical systems section chief, for their I/O Line Project pitch during the Shogun Spark Tank competition at Kadena Air Base, Japan, May 18, 2023. During the competition, attendees were able to scan a QR code to vote for their favorite pitch. Project I/O Line aims to digitize schematics and load them onto software to generate a computer model that mimics circuit operations, which minimizes mission down-time and promotes safety.
