SERE teaches Combat Survival Training course
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Casey Carter, NCO in charge of survival, evasion, resistance and escape training with the 18th Operational Support Squadron, tapes up the hands of an aircrew member during a combat survival training course at Kadena Air Base, Japan, March 18, 2021. Tape, zip ties and rope are used to test the students on the variety of restraint-removal techniques learned during their course. The aircrew members are searched before being restrained to fully simulate being captured, but anything they can sneak by the instructors is permitted.
