Sept. 29, 2014, marks the 35th anniversary of the F-15C's arrival to Kadena. At Kadena alone, the F-15C/D squadrons, the 67th, 44th and formerly 12th Fighter Squadrons, have earned the title of best Air Force fighter squadron of the year and the prestigious Raytheon Trophy, formerly the Hughes Trophy, nine times since the aircraft's arrival 35 years ago.
