Chief Master Sergeant Edward Golombeski is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 353rd Special Operations Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan. He serves as principal advisor to the commander on all matters affecting the morale, welfare, professional development and combat readiness of 825 enlisted personnel. Additionally, Chief Golombeski is the Combined Joint Special Operations Air Component, Senior Enlisted Leader responsible for leading and managing five squadrons and a group staff supporting Special Operations Command Pacific, Special Operations Command Korea and all United States special operations forces throughout the Pacific theater by providing combat-ready special tactics forces, MC-130 Combat Talon II and Commando II aircraft.
Chief Golombeski entered the United States Air Force in 1990. His background includes numerous duties and leadership positions at the detachment, squadron, group, numbered AF & MAJCOM HQ levels in Intelligence, aircrew operations and Air Force Special Operations. His assignments include bases in California, Japan, Texas, Florida, Arizona, Georgia and the United Kingdom. He also served on temporary duty overseas in Russia, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, and deployed in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, DESERT FOX, DESERT THUNDER, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, Joint Task Force Horn of Africa and Joint Task Force Lebanon. Chief Golombeski is a Career Enlisted Aviator with over 2,500 flying hours. Prior to his present position, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Air Force Cryptologic Office, 25th Air Force, Air Combat Command, Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, Texas.
