59 graduate Airman Leadership School

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Fifty-nine graduates from the Airman Leadership School Class 07-D walked across the stage at the NCO club June 1 to receive their diplomas from Brig. Gen. Brett Williams, 18th Wing Commander. The graduation is a milestone in an Airman's career as they transition to supervisors and leaders. 

Among the graduates a set few stood out from the rest. 

Senior Airman Katherine Braun, 390th Intelligence Squadron, received the most prestigious award, the John Levitow. Staff Sgt. John Phommavongsa, 18th Security Forces Squadron, received the Leadership Award as the top graduate. Senior Airman Vincent Hnat, 18th Component Maintenance Squadron, earned the Academic Award for highest scores in all areas of study. Five Airmen received distinguished graduate awards: Senior Airman Joseph Reed, 18th Communications Squadron; Airman Hnat, 18th CMS; Staff Sgt. Kristopher Bohannon, 390th IS; and Senior Airman Katharine Sadler, 961st Airborne Air Control Squadron.
