The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable, tactical fighter designed to permit the Air Force to gain and maintain air supremacy over the battlefield. The F-15 has electronic systems and weaponry to detect, acquire, track and attack enemy aircraft while operating in friendly or enemy-controlled airspace. The weapons and flight control systems are designed so one person can safely and effectively perform air-to-air combat.

The Commando II flies clandestine, or low visibility, single or multiship, low-level air refueling missions for special operations helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft, and infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply of special operations forces (SOF) by airdrop or airland intruding politically sensitive or hostile territories. The MC-130J primarily flies missions at night to reduce probability of visual acquisition and intercept by airborne threats. Its secondary mission includes the airdrop of leaflets.

 The KC-135 Stratotanker's principal mission is air refueling. This unique asset greatly enhances the Air Force's capability to accomplish its   primary missions of Global Reach and Global Power. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps aircraft as well   as aircraft of allied nations. The KC-135 is also capable of transporting litter and ambulatory patients using patient support pallets during   aeromedical evacuations.

The E-3 Sentry is an airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft provides all-weather surveillance, command, control and communications needed by commanders of U.S., NATO and other allied air defense forces. The E-3 Sentry is a modified Boeing 707/320 commercial airframe with a rotating radar dome. The radar has a range of more than 250 miles (375.5 kilometers) for low-flying targets and farther for aerospace vehicles flying at medium to high altitudes.

The MQ-9 is a multirole aircraft that is deployed to Kadena Air Base to provide airborne long-endurance intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to our allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific. The MQ-9s at Kadena are equipped for the ISR missions conducted in close coordination with the Japan Ministry of Defense to enhance our senior leaders’ ability to make informed decisions that help maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific.
