Military Family Housing on Okinawa is managed by the USAF as a Joint Service Program.  This means the family housing process is centralized for all accompanied Marines, Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen regardless of which base/camp/installation of assignment.  The program is organized around a central office located at Kadena Air Base with satellite offices located at Camps Kinser, Courtney and Foster.  Additionlly, current availability of Military Family Housing is significantly reduced due to the Okinawa Housing Revitalization Program which is a 10 year, $710 million  effort to improve the condition of nearly 5,000 homes across the island.  Between now and 2024, 33% of Military Families will live in the local community.  After the program, 25% of Military Families will live in the local community.
