U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Laura Lenderman, Pacific Air Forces deputy commander, delivered a keynote address at the TechNet Indo-Pacific 2024 Convention at the Hawai’i Convention Center, Oct. 23, 2024.

The host, Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association, is a non-profit with a mission to advance the professional development of its members, promote the understanding of technology in the military and government, and foster a dialogue between private and public sectors.

“This is such an exciting time,” Lenderman said. “to not only be in Hawaii, but to also have the opportunity to gather and discuss how industry solutions can help INDOPACOM, and the Pacific Air Forces deliver on our Nation’s promises.”

Lenderman called on industry leaders to bring their best ideas, technologies, and solutions to the Indo-Pacific theater to address the modern challenges of command and control, contested logistics, and dynamic force movements.

“The time is now because there’s no time to waste,” Lenderman said. “We have been here before, and like the heroes and thought leaders of the past, we will bring those hard lessons learned and our collective strengths to bear on the challenges we face today and tomorrow in order to deter, fight, and prevail in the Pacific.”

Lenderman's address emphasized the need for integration between industry, government, and the military to address complex regional challenges faced by the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
