Team Kadena, annual awards recognize outstanding Airmen

The Team Kadena annual awards banquet was held Feb. 4 to honor the most outstanding Airmen and civilians of 2011. The following individuals were recognized for their superior performance and dedication to the Kadena mission:

18th Wing Winners

 Company Grade Officer of the Year: From the 33rd Rescue Squadron, Capt. Joseph Andresky.

 Senior NCO of the Year: From the 18th Force Support Squadron, Senior Master Sgt. Kimberly Turner.

 NCO of the Year: From the 18th Communications Squadron, Tech. Sgt. Benjamin Puryear.

 Airman of the Year: From the 18th Contracting Squadron, Airman 1st Class Jaime Compean.

 Civilian of the Year, Category I: From the 18th Component Maintenance Squadron, Mrs. Tera Scherer.

 Civilian of the Year, Category II: From the 18th Contracting Squadron, Mrs. Robin Boyd.

 Civilian of the Year, Category III: From the 718th Civil Engineer Squadron, Mrs. Christina Gunn.

 First Sergeant of the Year: From the 33rd Rescue Squadron, Master Sgt. Sara Solecki.
