Williamson 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Recently, the list of off-limits establishments on Okinawa increased by three. All Air Force military and civilian personnel, including AF contractors, and their dependents, who are permanently assigned or TDY to Okinawa, are banned from these establishments. The 18th Wing Commander and base officials have determined that activities conducted at these establishments are detrimental to good order and discipline among the entire Air Force community on Okinawa. This order will remain in effect until further notice. The Ground Tobacco Shop is a reputed drug paraphernalia store that sells substances prohibited for SOFA status AF personnel. The Ground is located at 2F1-5-9 Mihama, Chatan-cho. Shampoo, also known as "Diana", employees engage in acts of prostitution. Shampoo is located at 1-20-15 Misato, Okinawa City. Takahara "Haunted" Hotel has caused severe injuries due to physical hazards inside the hotel. The Takahara "Haunted" Hotel is located in Ishado Nakagusuku Village; adjacent to the "Nakagusuku Castle." Tokyo Shoten Bookstore currently sells explicit material involving children. The Tokyo Shoten Bookstore has two locations on Okinawa. The first is 820-6 Kamisedo, Chatan-cho, and the other is 2-1-7 Wakasa, Naha-shi. Stoner's Den sells substances prohibited for all SOFA status personnel. The Stoner's Den is located at 2-17-1 Makishi, Naha City. Bernard's Garage utilizes unfair commercial practices toward SOFA personnel, specifically, individuals will pay thousands for a vehicle, and not receive the vehicle in return. Bernard's Garage is located at 1163 Aza-Noborikawa, Okinawa City. Samurai sells substances prohibited for all SOFA status personnel. Samurai is located at 1-8-1 Chuo, Okinawa City. Violation of this order is punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for military personnel. Civilian violators are subject to adverse administrative action, including sanctions under the Kadena Disciplinary Action Program. These sanctions may include barment from all military installations on Okinawa.
