Now that the old base exchange has been demolished and debris removed, it is time for contractors to begin the process of laying new pavement for the parking lot. From now until June 30, there will be traffic pattern changes, and some sections and entrances of the parking lot will be closed for repaving starting Thursday, April 1.

Dining facility closures
Due to mandatory facility safety upgrades, the Johnson and Marshall Dining Facilities will undergo a two-phased closure. Phase I closure will impact the Johnson
Dining Facility from March 8 until April 20. At the conclusion of Phase I, work will commence at the Marshall Dining Facility from April 21 through July 5.

While the dining facilities are closed, all Air Force Essential Station Messing (ESM) meal card members will be placed on Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) status ($323.87 per month). This has already been coordinated with 18 CPTS. Members will receive BAS effective March 8 - July 5. These members will see the first BAS payment in their April 1 paychecks and they will receive back pay starting from March 8.

Gate 3 closure
Outbound traffic lanes at Gate 3 will be closed April 9-18 for lane maintenance. Gate 5 will be opened during this time to help alleviate traffic congestion. Bad weather may delay start date and /or work progress. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Master Sgt. Green at 632-7022 or Mr. Rogers at 634-7258.
