31st RQS to hold Rescue Fest Published Feb. 12, 2010 By 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 31st Rescue Squadron invites all SOFA-status personnel to join them Saturday, Feb. 20, at Building 3490 for their first-ever interactive rescue fair showcasing the unique capabilities of Air Force Pararescuemen, Combat Rescue Officers and Survival Evasion Resistance Escape specialists. The fair, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature an indoor climbing wall, static displays of weapons, parachutes and special vehicles, a virtual reality parachuting simulator, a picture station and a number of rescue and SERE-related demonstrations.
