718th AMXS Airman dies in motorcycle accident Published Nov. 25, 2014 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- An Airman assigned to Kadena's 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron died Monday of injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident here Nov. 24. Airman 1st Class Quincy Jackson, 21, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, was taken to the U.S. Navy Hospital Okinawa at Camp Foster where he was pronounced dead at 5:53 p.m. Jackson is survived by his mother, Lavina Payne, also of Greensburg, and his father, Roland Jackson, Jr., of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to Airman 1st Class Jackson's family, friends and coworkers," said Brig. Gen. James Hecker, 18th Wing commander. "All of us at Team Kadena are mourning his loss." The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
