Kadena Warriors!

Are you ready to lead? I challenge each Airman, civilian, and family member to be proactive and sign up for leadership and resiliency courses offered under the new Kadena Leadership Pathways program. These courses can help you be a more effective leader, no matter who you are or what position you hold.

The KLP program links helping agencies on base including the chapels, mental health, Airman and Family Readiness Center, and the Kadena medical clinic in a proactive approach to help military members, civilians and families learn and hopefully avoid some of the common difficulties that can cause undue stress in their lives. In fact, 493 Kadena military, civilians and family members took advantage of these courses last quarter helping themselves, families and community.

Most of the classes aren't new, the approach is different. KLP was developed to provide you with a list of classes for you to choose (proactive) to become more resilient, instead of taking a class because it was directed by someone. The goal is to provide you with the tools and ability to deal with or avoid an issue effectively before it becomes a larger problem.

There are also some great incentives for being a proactive leader. A 1-day pass will be awarded when you have achieved 20 points as outlined in the program brochure along with other awards for reaching milestones along the way. For civilians and family you can achieve recognition for you accomplishment.

I encourage all Airmen, civilians, and family members to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity as the things you learn will have a positive impact on your life and the lives of people you come in contact with.
