U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 18th Munitions Squadron, 3rd MUNS and 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron transport an inert GBU-31 for bomb building training at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Oct. 22, 2024. KADENA AIR BASE, Japan. -- Airmen from the 3rd Munitions Squadron and 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, integrated with the 18th MUNS and conducted bomb-building training using inert bombs, learning how they function, inspecting and preparing them before installing them with joint direct attack munition guidance tail kits.
