Military members and families had the opportunity to see a demonstration of the ikebana Ikenobo flower arrangement during a visit from Mr. Kingo Ikeda, Okinawa Defense Bureau Public Affairs chief, to Kadena, March 14.

Those viewing the demonstration were also able to learn ikebana culture though the Japanese flower arrangement.

In the arrangement, an Okinawa local plant called Sotetsu is used and the color coordination of the flowers represents the American colors.

Ikeda titled his arrangement "Wing of Peace", as his flower arrangement has a collaboration of Okinawan and American culture.

Those at the 18th Wing headquarters building gratefully accepted the gift of the beautifully completed flower masterpiece.
