The Air Force will be transitioning back to using the Government Travel Card through August and September.

"As we transition back to GTC, some things we can expect are the blue cards will remain the same and all changes will be done by CITI [bank]," said Lt. Col. Seung Paik, 18th Comptroller Squadron commander.

Some other changes will be that travelers will once again be provided a permanent credit limit and won't have to rely on orders to load spending authority.

Credit checks beforehand will once again be implemented and delinquency management will return to unit commanders.

"For now we have been told that all [Agency Program Coordinators] should discontinue processing new [Controlled Spending Account] applications," Paik said.

All new applications will be processed thru the GTC program.
