Team Kadena's 2012 CCAF graduation announced

Kadena will hold its 2012 Community College of the Air Force graduation ceremony at the base theater, May 24 at 2 p.m. The Kadena Base Education Office and Kadena Top 3 have combined forces to present this year's graduation, which will recognize enlisted Airmen who have met Air University's requirements to obtain an Associates Degree of Applied Science in one, or more Air Force Specialty.

Air University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools College to award associate and master degrees. Over the past 35 years, CCAF has remained true to their vision, "CCAF: The Airman's College. We Educate Airmen for Life," awarding over 379,540 associates degrees.

Select your AFSC Members of the Kadena Base Education Office and Kadena Top 3 offer their congratulations to those that have been notified that they will graduate during the spring 2012 ceremony. These Airmen's perseverance and hard work has paid off.

Pitsenbarger Award

The Air Force Association will offer the coveted Pitsenbarger Award to graduating CCAF students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree. Winners of this award will also receive a one-time $400 scholarship. Team Kadena will be allocated several Pitsenbarger Awards. To apply for the Pitsenbarger Award, fill out the application form at http://www.AFA.org/aef/aid//pit.pdf. Once completed, scan and send the form to Tech. Sgt. Brian Preston at Brian.Preston@Kadena.AF.Mil. Submission deadline is April 15, and award winners must have participated in the graduation ceremony to receive this award.
