The 35 cadre at Detachment 1, 554th Red Horse Squadron showcased the contingency skills taught at the PACAF Silver Flag site to Kadena's Airmen and leaders Dec. 13. In addition to informative briefs, attendees gained hands-on experience in rappelling from the fire fighters' structural fire trainer, operating loaders and bulldozers, and getting into the "level A" protective suit and investigating a simulated clandestine lab. They were also briefed on the Emergency Operations Center and other contingency assets such as the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU). The 5-hour event culminated with a spaghetti lunch prepared by the Force Support cadre.
