Kadena Airmen train to keep base safe

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 18th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters conduct training to ensure they keep the base safe and secure. In addition to training on career field specifics, Kadena firefighters hone their combat readiness skills during local operational readiness exercises. The exercises allow firefighters to prepare for possible real-world contingencies in a safe training environment. Later on in the LORE, they will be expected to train in their standard gear along with mission oriented protective posture equipment.
