The 18th Wing will conduct a local operational readiness exercise starting Oct. 23 and lasting approximately five days.

LORE training is designed to evaluate the wing's ability to fulfill its missions in support of the U.S.-Japan security alliance.

During the training, Kadena Airmen will practice mobilization procedures and conduct training activities to hone technical skills and enhance the wing's operational readiness. Services in many on-base facilities may be affected; customers should call the facility to check in advance.

Similar training is conducted routinely at operational bases Air Force-wide. The 18th Wing conducts this necessary training as required throughout the year.
