KADENA AIRMEN KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT NAMED

Two airman assigned to Kadena Air Base died from injuries after a two- motorcycle accident at the intersection of routes 58 and 23 Monday, Aug. 15.

Senior Airman Kristie Arroyo, of the 909th Air Refueling Squadron, was pronounced dead at U.S. Naval Hospital - Okinawa at 8:38 p.m. and Staff Sergeant Ronald Dayce, of the 18th Component Maintenance Squadron at 11:12 p.m. at the same hospital.

In remembering the impact Sergeant Dayce had Lt. Col. Jacqueline Wilson, acting commander of the 18th Component Maintenance Squadron, said that "Ron touched many lives in the squadron. Our heartfelt condolence goes out to the family and friends. They are in our thoughts and prayers."

Lt. Col. Christina Clausnitzer, commander of the 909th Air Refueling Squadron highlighted SrA Arroyo's service.

"On Monday we tragically lost a valuable member of our military family," said Colonel Clausnitzer. "We share in the sorrow felt by Senior Airman Kristie Arroyo's loved ones, and we must not forget the tremendous contributions she made to our Air Force, our nation, and the dynamic impact she has left on our organization."

The incident is under investigation.
