The office will reopen Monday, May 2 at 9:00 a.m. Military Family Housing Construction Notice All housing residents are reminded to please stay away from and out of all construction areas. These areas are barricaded and warning signs posted for your safety as dangerous conditions exist. Residents can help ensure their safety by maintaining a safe distance from construction areas and by discouraging children from entering construction sites. Intentionally entering any construction area is trespassing and you will be reported to Security Forces or the Provost Marshall's Office. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. WAPS Testing For E-5 Promotion Enlisted SrA testing for SSgt for the WAPS 11E5 Promotion Cycle should have received their test appointment via email. All members are required to submit their appointment acknowledgement on or before COB Friday, April 22. Members who do not respond before the suspense date may be declared ineligible to test for the current promotion cycle. Postal Advisory FREE MAIL INTRA/INTER-THEATER DELIVERY SERVICE - Postal customers can mail letters and parcels up to 70 pounds free to any APO/FPO in the PACIFIC excluding Hawaii, Guam, and Alaska. Likewise, you can mail letters and parcels up to 70 pounds free to any APO/FPO in Europe as long as the mail does not transit through the CONUS. All you need is a complete to and from mailing address, customs form if applicable, and "MPS" in the upper right hand corner. Remember , this mail is not insured against loss or damage. If you have questions, please call MSgt Anthony Smith 634-3244. 2011 Road Tax Collection Officials from the Joint Service Vehicle Registration Office will be collecting annual road tax payments at Kadena's Keystone Theater from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., May 9 to 13. All vehicles not de-registered before April 1 must pay the annual road tax. Patrons must bring original copies of their: military registration, 2010 road tax receipt, vehicle title, Japanese compulsory insurance and American insurance. The rates are by license plates series: License plate series 40/400, 50/500, 77/78..................... ¥7,500 License plate series 33/300 (4,500cc & below)............... ¥19,000 License plate series 33/300 (above 4,500cc).................. ¥22,000 License plate series 11/100, 88/800..................................¥32,000 Mini-car and motorcycle taxes must be paid between April 1 and May 31 at local city, town, or village offices from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Bring your road tax receipt to the JSVRO at Camp Foster (near the commissary) or a road tax collection site on base to receive the 2011 road tax sticker. The four-man scramble shotgun start time is 7 a.m., with a 6 a.m. show time. Price will be $40 for E1-E4; $45 for E-5 and above; $60 for MLC/IHA. Price includes 18 holes, a golf cart, and lunch. Also, there will be an awards ceremony and drawings for prizes (including a TaylorMade R11 Driver). Proceeds will benefit CGOC community activities. Contact Capt. Marshall Dining Facility Cinco De Mayo Celebration and Quarterly Birthday Meal May 5 from 10:30 a.m-1:00 p.m. is fiesta time at the Marshall Dining Facility.
