The limitations recently placed on leave and travel to mainland Japan after the recent earthquake and tsunami for 18th Wing personnel have been rescinded per Brig. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, 18th Wing commander. "We have seen a change in circumstances since that time and the US Government is now allowing the return of civilians who left the mainland under the voluntary early departure program," said Brig. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, 18th Wing Commander. The policy letter was put in effect March 25 in an effort to allow emergency personnel to do their jobs unimpeded. General Wilsbach encourages personnel to use discretion when traveling to areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami.
