Kadena Airmen teamed up with members of the Royal Australian Air Force and Japan Ground Self Defense Force March 16, when an RAAF C-17 Globemaster III landed on Kadena's flight line.

The Aircraft came to Kadena to load supplies and a team from the JGSDF and then transport them to mainland Japan in support of earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.

"We couldn't say no to the opportunity to help our allies when faced with such a terrible tragedy," said RAAF Wing Commander Sonja Hallorran.
