Montgomery Gentry to perform on Kadena

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  The USO Montgomery Gentry concert is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. in the Marine Hangar, Building 762. The hangar is located between Arnold Avenue and Collison Drive off Douglas Avenue.

The country duo has a 'meet and greet' planned for fans at the Kadena USO at 11 a.m. and at Bldg. 3534 at 2 p.m.

No personal cameras will be permitted for photos during the 'meet and greet'. A professional photographer will be on hand and fans can download the photos off the web for free.

During the concert, no audio or video recording will be permitted. In addition, no alcohol or glass will be permitted during the show.

If you'd like to volunteer, volunteers are needed Thursday for set-up at the Marine Hangar. Volunteers are asked to meet at the hangar at 3:30 p.m.

Volunteers are also needed for parking and tear down on Friday.

Parking volunteers can meet at the Security Forces building at 3:45 p.m. and will be directing traffic between 5-7 p.m.

There will be a Shilling Community Center staff member at the hangar to sign volunteers in and direct them where to go.
