The commander of the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa at Camp Lester published a health advisory regarding two recent cases of tuberculosis.

According to the advisory, people at risk were already contacted and evaluated by military public health officials who found no evidence to suggest any additional cases of active TB.

The letter goes on to say that the officials from around the island are actively managing the situation and have taken all appropriate measures to ensure people's safety.
