Holiday hours for base services Published Dec. 20, 2010 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- As the holidays approach Okinawa, base services including AAFES, 18th Force Support Squadron,DECA, Kadena's 18th Medical Group, the Veterinary Clinic and the Kadena post office will be adjusting their business hours. Click the links below to view holiday operating hours for different establishments: island-wide: AAFES Christmas and New Year's schedules All base Commissaries will open at 8 a.m and close at 6 p.m., Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The Commissaries will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. They will reopen the following day during regular hours. on Kadena: 18th Force Support Squadron Patriot Express Kadena's 18th Medical Group will be closed Dec. 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31. In case of emergency, please call 911 on-base, 119 off-base, 098-934-5911 from a cell phone, or go directly to the U.S. Naval Hospital Emergency Department. The Veterinary clinic will be closed Dec. 24, 30 and 31, and will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 20-23 and Dec. 27-29. The Kadena post office will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, but will be open on PACAF Family Days and also extend parcel pick-up hours to 9 p.m. Dec. 24.
