As we prepare to finish out 2010, Cindy and I want to wish you and your families a very joyous Holiday and Happy New Year!

We'd also like to thank you for your accomplishments this past year. Your hard work and professionalism has led to another peaceful year in the Western Pacific Region. While you are celebrating, take time to remember the Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines who are deployed this season. Keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.

This time of year can be especially difficult for our Airmen who are stationed away from home. Team Kadena is one big family, and as such we must reach out and make sure no one is alone this Holiday season.

We are also reminded to be a good wingman. Protect yourself, your family and friends during the holiday season. Take steps to make sure that you and everyone you celebrate with has a plan to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol. Remember to always designate a non-drinking driver before any holiday party or celebration begins. Also, take the keys and do not let friends drive if they are impaired.

Let's all make it safely to 2011. We wish you a joyous Holiday Season and hope you have a terrific New Year!
