Golfers 'tee-off' before sunrise for good cause

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- More than 80 golfers participated in the Combined Federal Campaign golf tournament at the Banyan Tree Golf Course, Dec. 3.

Each golfer contributed to the CFC upon registering for the tournament. The donations received, totaling $614, will be donated to the Family Support Youth Programs on Kadena.

Many fundraisers have been held throughout this CFC season including a 5K run, chili cook off, Christmas tree ornament sale and multiple bake sales. Through fundraisers and individual contributions, Team Kadena has raised $385,328 for CFC so far this year.

The CFC currently supports more than 2,300 local, national and international charities. If you would like to donate to a charity of your choice, contact your unit CFC representative. The CFC-Overseas campaign has recently been granted an interim extension through Dec. 15.
