Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines, along with Japanese citizens on Okinawa, join together to increase awareness and raise funds for Special Olympics. Approximately 10 Soldiers and 140 American and Japanese Harley Davidson bikers participated in the 11th Annual Poker Run on Okinawa. Each rider was given a card at five separate locations on the island. The winner was presented with all the entry fees; the winner then donated the money to Special Olympics. Kadena Special Olympics nears

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The Kadena Special Olympics Torch Run and Poker run mark the last of the fundraisers leading up to the big event on Nov. 6. Roughly $60,000 must be raised to support the event each year. This will be the 11th year Kadena has hosted the event.
