Kadena Captain dies near Sunabe seawall Published Oct. 11, 2010 By 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- A Captain assigned to the 18th Medical Support Squadron died around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Capt. Amy Brown went unconscious shortly after surfacing at a dive spot on the Sunabe seawall. The medical readiness flight commander was rushed to Camp Lester Naval Hospital by local authorities, but medical staff were unable to revive her. "Our hearts and prayers go out to Amy's family," said Brig. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, 18th Wing commander. "We are saddened by the loss of a valued team member." The incident is currently under investigation.
