Time to have a ball, an Air Force Ball Published Aug. 2, 2010 By 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The Air Force's 63rd Birthday is coming up, Sept. 18th. In honor of this event, Kadena will host a dual-venue Air Force Ball that night at both the Officer and NCO clubs starting at 6 p.m. This year's theme is "People, Airpower and Freedom." The guest speaker will be Dan Clark, a nationally-known friend of the U.S. military and motivational speaker. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner starting at 7 p.m. Following the dinner, there will be dancing until 11 p.m., at both locations. Cost for the event is $25 for E-1s - E-4s, and $40 for E-5s and above, per person. As appropriate for a service ball, dress for the occasion is mess dress for officers, and mess dress or semi-formal for enlisted. Civilians may dress for a semi-formal event.
