Kadena rescue Airmen train in South Korea Published July 22, 2010 By 51st Fighter Wing Public Affairs OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea -- Rescue Airmen from Kadena recently particpated in Pacific Thunder, the largest exercise devoted to combat search and rescue in the Pacific for Pacific Air Forces. Airmen from Kadena deployed to Osan Air Base, South Korea, for the exercise. The overall goal of the exercise is to practice integrating all airframes necessary to rescue a downed Airman in a medium to high threat environment. As this story shows, Kadena Airmen are ready, willing and able to live up to the motto, "so that others may live."
