While quietly moving through the jungle, Airmen were searching for any clues that would help them find signs of their enemy on a rainy day July 1. They volunteered to act as the opposing forces for the 353rd Special Operations Group's Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape training - attempting to capture the aircrew members looking to recertify in their annual SERE refresher training.

While photojournalist Senior Airman Amanda Grabiec tagged along with the "good guys," reporter Staff Sgt. Amy Slye spent the day with the "bad guys" of the opposing forces team.

Check out Sergeant Slye's report on the right and Airman Grabiec's photos.
