A total of twelve F-15s departed April 9-10 for Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, to participate in Exercise Red Flag Alaska, which begins April 15.

The F-15s, along with an E-3 Sentry from the 961st Airborne Air Control Squadron, will join approximately 170 Kadena Airmen to train alongside U.S. aircraft and personnel from a number of locations.

Pilots from the 67th will fly against members of the 18th Aggressor Squadron from Eielson Air Force Base in continuing training from the unit's visit to Kadena earlier this year.

Red Flag Alaska is one of several off-station exercises to which Kadena Air Base sends fighters and personnel throughout the year. Others include Exercise Red Flag at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Cope Tiger in Thailand, Foal Eagle in South Korea and Cope Taufan in Malaysia.
