One dozen Kadena SNCOs selected for top enlisted rank

Congratulations to the following senior master sergeants selected for promotion to the Air Force's top enlisted rank. There will be an open celebration for the dozen selectees at the Rocker NCO Club today at 4 p.m.

Godfrey Hall, 18th Maintenance Squadron 

Gregory Henaire, 18th Communications Squadron 

Thomas Jacks, 18th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron 

Lonnie Ranger, 353rd Maintenance Squadron

Thomas Rich, 31st Rescue Squadron 

Mark Smith, 320th Special Tactics Squadron

Air Force officials selected 475 of 2,276 eligible senior master sergeants for promotion to chief master sergeant. 

The average score for those selected was 662.78 points, with the following averages:

-- 135 points for enlisted performance reports.

-- 63.57 for the Air Force supervisory exam.

-- 388.58 for board score.

-- 27.39 for time in grade.

-- 23.74 for time in service.

-- 24.49 for decorations.

The average selectee has 3.40 years time in grade and 23.23 years in service. Those selected will be promoted according to their promotion sequence number beginning in January.
