Seasonal influenza shots still available Published Nov. 2, 2009 By 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 18th Medical Group still has thousands of doses of vaccine for seasonal influenza available. Active duty members are required to receive a flu shot, but with over 90 percent of Airmen having already received their shots, there is still plenty of the vaccine available for family members and dependents, according to 18th MDG officials. People can visit the immunizations clinic at the 18th MDG to receive their shots. This is not the vaccine for the H1N1 strain, although vaccine for H1N1 will be available in the coming weeks. More information on H1N1 vaccine will be released when it becomes available.
