KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The Team Kadena annual awards banquet was held Feb. 7 to honor the most outstanding Airmen and civilians of 2008. The following individuals were recognized for their superior performance and dedication to the Kadena mission:

Company Grade Officer of the Year: Capt. Pete A. Leija, 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Senior NCO of the Year: Master Sgt. Christopher Pollock, 18th Civil Engineer Squadron

NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Daniel J. Morris, 18th Civil Engineer Squadron

Airman of the Year: Staff Sgt. (then Senior Airman) Travis L. Brown, 31st Rescue Squadron

Honor Guard Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Kyle P. Wheeler, 18th Munitions Squadron

Honor Guard NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Warren K. Triche, 18th Operations Support Squadron
