Team Kadena welcomes new commander, July 16 Published July 20, 2015 By Airman 1st Class John Linzmeier 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Team Kadena would like to welcome the following new leader who took command last week: Lt. Col. Benjamin Conde is now the commander of the 33rd Rescue Squadron as of July 16. The 33rd RQS is a combat-ready HH-60G Pave Hawk squadron whose mission is search, rescue and recovery, night or day, over land or water. The 33rd RQS maintains readiness for mobilization, deployment and employment of helicopters and rescue of U.S. and allied military members, and civilians when necessary.
