Team Kadena welcomes new commanders, June 17 - 24

Team Kadena would like to welcome the following new leaders that took command within the last week:

U.S. Air Force Maj. Yogi Lebby is now the commander of the 18th Component Maintenance Squadron as of June 16. Lebby was a maintenance operations officer at the 96th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The 18th CMS provides maintenance on electronics for propulsion, avionics and airframe accessory sub-systems for all assigned aircraft and maintains the only four-bay engine test cell facility in Pacific Air Forces. It is also responsible for test, measurement and diagnostic equipment services to the wing and associate units, as well as maintenance services essential to daily aircraft sortie production and unit deployments.

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Shanon Anderson is now the commander of the 733rd Air Mobility Squadron as of June 18. The 733rd AMS ensures the safe and reliable maintenance of the Air Mobility Command's C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster III, KC-10 Extender and commercial-contracted missions. They are also responsible for the PAX terminal and Space Available travel.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Mark Harris is now the commander of the 18th Contracting Squadron as of June 19. Harris was the chief of contract inspections for the Headquarters Pacific Air Forces Inspector General at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 18th CONS provides contracting support and business advice to the 18th Wing, associate units, and all other Department of Defense activities on Okinawa, including DoD Dependent Schools and the Defense Commissary Agency, through the issuance of various construction, service, commodity and utility contracts valued at $300 million annually. The squadron also provides worldwide contingency contracting support.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Aaron Yager is now the commander of the 353rd Special Operations Maintenance Squadron as of June 19. The 353rd SOMXS provides the majority of off-aircraft and "back shop" maintenance for the assets of the 353rd SOG. The SOMXS also contains the majority of the supply function for the group.
