Airmen remain missing at sea

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  Three Airmen were washed out to sea from the northwest coast of Okinawa at about 3:45 p.m. Oct. 5.

The Japanese Coast Guard, and two HH-60 helicopters from the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base, have responded and operations are ongoing.

More information will be released as it becomes available.


嘉手納基地（発表）　10月5日午後3時45分、沖縄本島北西部沿岸において空軍兵3名が波にさらわれた。日本の海上保安庁、嘉手納基地第18航空団所属のＨＨ－６０救難ヘリコプター２機が出動し、現在も捜索活動中である。
