26 Selected for promotion to SMSgt

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  More than 20 of Kadena's promotion-eligible master sergeants were selected to become senior master sergeants following the Air Force Personnel Center's release on March 20, 2014.

This year's promotion cycles included 14,823 eligible master sergeants Air Force-wide, and out of them, 999 were selected for promotion, giving the Air Force a 6.74 percent selection rate. Kadena had 272 master sergeants eligible for promotion and out of them, 26 were selected, giving Kadena an 8.11 percent selection rate, beating the Air Force average.
