18th Wing named PACAF nominee for 2014 Verne Orr Award

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 18th Wing was announced Jan. 14 as the PACAF nominee for the 2014 Verne Orr Award.

The Air Force Association established this award in honor of former Secretary of the Air Force Verne Orr which recognizes an Air Force (Active, Reserve, or Guard) unit's accomplishments and achievements that used personnel to their full potential in order to accomplish the mission.

The 18th WIng moves forward to compete at the Air Force level.
