UXO disposal
Staff Sgt. Jason Weimer, 18th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist, prepares a specialized bomb containment vessel to remove a UXO at Kadena Air Base Oct. 19, 2008. The 18th Wing partnered with local government agencies to successfully remove the UXO while ensuring the safety of local citizens. EOD specialists safely destroyed the munition on the EOD range in the Kadena Munitions Storage Area.
