The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for WIC is a federal assistance program of the Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department of Agriculture for healthcare and nutrition of low-income pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and infants and children. Members of the armed forces and their dependents, employees of military departments and their dependents, employees of Department of Defense contractors, and their dependents are typically eligible for the program.
