Joint CBRN Exercise
Members from the U.S. Army, Marines, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Air Force and Air Force National Guard from Michigan and Texas participated in the Joint and Coalition Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Response Exercise at Kadena Air Base, Japan, July 18, 2019. The 127th Air National Guard unit from Michigan and 147th Air National Guard unit from Houston spent two weeks at Kadena, where they trained with the 18th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management flight. Kadena Bats Fly in the Light
Two F-15C Eagles from the 44th Fighter Squadron fly during a training exercise July 10, 2019, out of Kadena Air Base, Japan. The Eagle can be armed with several combinations of different air-to-air weapons: AIM-120 AMRAAM advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles on its lower fuselage corners, AIM-9M/X Sidewinder or AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles on two pylons under the wings, and an internal 20 millimeter (0.79 in) M61 Vulcan Gatling gun in the right wing root.
