Idea earns Airman $10,000
Staff Sgt. Edward Bellus, an HH-60 maintainer at Kadena AB, Japan, pulls out a barrel-nut from the bench-stock, Aug.10, 2010. His idea of putting a sealant around this $20 barrel-nut expanded the life-span of the helicopter’s $450,000 main gear-box.
