U.S. forces, Japan blow exercise out of water

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Zack Asmus, 320th Special Tactics Squadron combat controller, is rescued by a U.S. Air Force HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter during a joint-field bilateral exercise on Torii Station, Japan, Feb. 26, 2013. Asmus played the role of a crew member who ejected into the sea before the crash. The scenario tested U.S. and Japan forces on their ability to rescue service members and civilians, by aircraft or jet skis, from open water. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Malia Jenkins)
